2026 Mandatory Report to Voters on School Expenses

As part of our March town election coverage, The Positively Hollis Post is sharing the “Mandatory Report to Voters on School Expenses” provided by SAU 41 Superintendent Gina Bergskaug.

We are posting the report here in advance of our March print issue. It will also be included in our March edition, which is mailed to every Hollis household. If you have questions about the report, please contact the SAU 41 office at 603-324-5999.

Under New Hampshire law (RSA 189:76), this report must be posted at least seven days prior to the school district meeting at which the budget is adopted. The statute requires that the report be prominently titled and include three line graphs and one table presenting ten years of district data.

The report includes the following:

  • Average Cost Per Pupil – displaying the district’s annual cost per pupil over the previous 10 years
  • Average Teacher Salary – displaying the district’s yearly average teacher salary over the previous 10 years
  • Administrator Salaries – displaying annual totals of all salaries paid to administrators employed or contracted by the district and corresponding SAU over the previous 10 years
  • A table titled Top Administrator Salaries listing the titles and current salaries of the four highest-paid administrators

The law also requires that a good faith effort be made to adjust annual figures for inflation and that all yearly statistics be clearly labeled. We are sharing the report here in advance of our March print issue. It will also be included in our March edition, which is mailed to every Hollis household.

If you have questions about the report, please contact the SAU 41 office at 603-324-5999.
