Content and Theme: 

Stories must align with the theme of our website, which includes positive stories related to Hollis.   We are looking for stories that entertain, educate, and inform, reflecting the interests of Hollis residents. Suggested topics include:

• Gardening,      homesteading, cooking, and recipes
• Local farm news, homesteading items for sale, and profiles of artists or artisans
• Town committees, clubs, and organization accomplishments and issues
• Hollis history, fun facts, and community profiles
• People of all ages making a positive difference in our community
• Events, sports, recreation, and family activities
• Stories highlighting our schools, kids, teens, and general good news
• Animals, pets, and hobbies

These topics—and more—help showcase what makes Hollis special!

Style:

We invite and encourage our contributors to submit stories that are not only engaging but also informative and narrative in nature. 

Originality: 

Originality is key to maintaining the authenticity of our platform, so we kindly request that all submissions be original works written by you or your organization. Plagiarism or copying content from other sources is strictly prohibited.

Event Sharing:

All event notices should include information about the event and your organization. The PH Post will arrive in Hollis homes and business during the first week of March, June, September, and December. 

Story Deadlines: Submit your stories, articles, and events for editorial review 6 weeks before our publication date. 

March Issue: Deadline January 22nd

June Issue: Deadline April 22nd

September Issue: Deadline July 22nd

December Issue: Deadline October 22nd

Submission Process: 

Please submit your stories or article idea as a Word document or plain text file via the form above. Include "Submission" in the subject line. Submissions will be published at our discretion. 

Author Information:

For submitted stories include the name of the author and if appropriate, the position or job description.

Images: 

We suggest 2 relevant images to accompany your story. Provide the names of people featured and a caption/description for each photo submitted. Make sure you have the necessary rights and permissions to use the images. Images should be submitted in .jpeg format. All images are subject to approval.

Editing: 

Our editorial team may edit your submissions for clarity, and grammar, and to align them with our publication's style and tone.  

Review and Response: 

Our team will review all submissions. If your submission is selected for publication, we will notify you and share with you any potential edits. If space limitations prevent us from publishing your story or event in the PH Post, we will publish it on our website and share it on social media. You will be notified if that is the case.

Rights and Attribution: 

By submitting your story, you grant us the right to publish it in the newspaper, and on our website, giving proper credit to the author. You also authorize us to post and share on Hollis-related social media.

Legal and Ethical Considerations:

Ensure that your content adheres to all legal and ethical guidelines. Avoid content that may be offensive, discriminatory, or harmful to individuals or communities.
